Q: What is Bill Payments?
A: Bill Payments is a secure platform provided by Live Payments, designed exclusively for our business customers. It allows you to manage and pay bills through our platform while earning Qantas Points through our partnership with Qantas Business Rewards.

Q: How do I access Bill Payments?

A: Log into the Live Payments Portal and navigate to the Bill Payments section via the Main Menu. You can also access the platform directly here. Alternatively, you can also access Bill Payments through Live Portal from the platform link here and navigate to the Bill Payments section via the Main Menu.

Q: What do I need to start using Bill Payments?
A: You’ll need to be an existing Live Payments customer or register as anew member. You also need to have a valid ABN and be a Qantas Business Rewards member to earn Qantas Points. 

Q: Can I use any card?
A: Yes, we accept all major Australian-issued Visa, Mastercard, and American Express cards.

Q: Who can I pay using Bill Payments?
A: You can currently pay eligible businesses who have a bsb and account number. By late 2025, BPAY will also become available.

Q: When will I receive my Qantas Points?
A: Qantas Points are typically credited to your QBR account within 30 days of an approved payment to a biller.

Q: How long does a payment take to process?

A: Payments are generally processed to the biller within 1–2 business days after the transaction date. You will receive an email notifying you once payment is made. 

Q: Will I still earn my credit card points and benefits?
A: Yes, you’ll continue earning your credit card’s points and benefits - even when paying billers who normally don’t accept cards.

Q: Is there a minimum payment amount?
A: Yes, the minimum bill payment is $1.00

Q: What fees apply to pay my bill?

A: Fees vary based on your selected plan and card type - Green, Gold, or Black - which also determines your Qantas Points earn rate. You can review the plan details before making a payment.

Q: How secure is the platform?

A: Bill Payments is fully PCI-DSS compliant, meaning your card data is handled with the highest level of security. 

Q: How do I earn Qantas Points?
A: Simply choose your preferred plan before making a payment and you will earn the applicable Qantas Points on your payments for that plan type.

Q: Why is additional information being requested on my payment?
A: Occasionally we may require extra information to verify your identity or payment. This is part of our KYC (Know Your Customer) and KYB (Know Your Business) obligations under Australian regulations. 

Q: How do I reset my password
A: You can use the “Forgot Password?” button on the login page to reset your password. If you have trouble resetting your password, please call or email us to assist you.  

Q: What happens if I don't have a Qantas Business Rewards (QBR) number - will I still get my points?
A: To receive Qantas Points, you must have a current, active QBR number listed on your Live Payments account. If you do not have this already, please call or email us to assist you as we won’t be able to add Qantas Points retrospectively.

Q: Will I receive an invoice for the transaction?
A: Yes. You can review your past transactions from the “Bill History” section within the Bill Portal. Here you will be able to download your invoice as well as send the invoice to an email address of your choosing. 

Q: I am a current Live Payments customer and I have the gold plan - do I have to pick the same plan type when using Bill Payments or can I choose any?

A: No. You don’t have to choose the same plan type as you currently have for your payments device. You can select any plan of your preference each time you make a new payment using our bill payments platform. 

Q: How do I pay a business bill using BSB & Account Number?
A:
1) Log in to the portal using your Live Payments email. If it’s your first time, click Create Account. Once logged in, go to the menu and select Bill Payments (bottom left).
2) Select Pay Bill on the left menu, then click Add New Payee in the top right corner. Enter the business details you wish to pay.
3) Have your bill handy, enter the details, and submit your payment.
4) Choose your points plan (you can change it each time you pay), confirm your payment, and your invoice will be emailed to you.

Q: What does “payee” mean? Is that the business/entity name?
A: Yes, that’s correct. The payee is the name of the business or entity you are making a payment to.

Q: The payee name on my invoice looks different to what I have on my bill. Did the money go to the correct person?
A: Sometimes payee names in our system may look different from what you see on your bill. If you’re concerned the funds may have gone to the wrong account, please call us immediately on 1300 780 788 and we’ll check this for you as a priority.

Q: Can I make a payment to anyone with a BSB and ACC, or are there restrictions?

A: You can make payments for most business purposes. However, some entities are restricted. To view the list of restricted entities click below:RESTRICTED ENTITIESIf you attempt to pay a restricted entity, our Risk Team will contact you and the payment will be returned to your original payment method.

Q: I accidentally typed in the wrong details for a payment. What happens now?
A: Live Payments is not responsible for verifying the details you enter. Please carefully review all payee details before confirming payment. If you believe the funds may have gone to the wrong account, contact us straight away on 1300 780 788 and we’ll do our best to assist.
